Frances Manolovitz, 95, passed away on May 20, 2023.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, May 24, at Eastgate Funeral Service, 2303 East Divide Ave, Bismarck.
Family will begin greeting guests one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck.
Frances Manolovitz was born Oct. 28, 1927, on her grandparents’ homestead north of Regan, ND, to Charles (Carl) and Toni (Ded) Kvasnicka.
Frances went to country school Schrunk #2, then two years at Regan High School and graduated from Wing High School in 1945. She completed Christy Beauty School and worked for Royal Beauty Shop, and worked as a cosmetician for White Drug and Red Out Family Center.
She joined the VFW Auxiliary and served as chaplain. She also joined Women of the Moose, held many chairs and received three degrees plus Deputy Grand Regent over North and South Dakota in 1974-75.
Frances married James E. Guptill, of Baldwin, on Aug. 18, 1956 in Miles City, Montana. Jim died in a car accident on Jan. 6, 1958. She later met and married Frank Manolovitz, of Bismarck, on Sept. 7, 1961. They enjoyed dancing at the Moose Lodge and most of the summer in the camper out fishing.
She enjoyed reading and crocheting for family and friends.
Frances is survived by her daughter, Karla (Ronald) Stenberg; grandson, Aaron (Jill) Stenberg; great-grandchildren, Lexi, Ehli, Charli and Belle Stenberg; one niece and three nephews.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Frank (1/8/2006); her parents; stepfather, Richard Toliver; grandson, Shaun T. Stenberg; brother, Charles Kvasnicka; and her sister, Clara (Robert) Rasmussen.
