On Monday, December 26, 2022, Francis “Mick” Scharosch passed from this life to join his Lord and Savior. He was surrounded by family as he peacefully slipped away after a short illness.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 A.M., Thursday, January 5, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 502 N 4th St, Bismarck.
Visitation will be held 5-7:00 P.M, Wednesday, January 4, with a prayer service starting at 7:00 P.M, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck.
Burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck.
Mick was born to Frank and Helen (Schwab) Scharosch on March 9, 1950, in Dickinson, ND. He was the second of six children. For most of his childhood the family lived on a farm south of Hazen. After high school he did labor jobs that included cement finishing work. He spent several years working at the University of Mary as a maintenance man. He loved working there and helping the sisters at the Annunciation Priory with anything they needed done. He later went to work at Facility Management at the State Capitol as a maintenance man for 33 years. He worked part-time at Lowe’s in the plumbing department for 13 years. He loved the job because he got a lot of people contact that he so enjoyed.
He married Debb Seelye in 1974. Through this union they had a daughter, Jami, and a son, Kody.
During Mick’s younger years he loved fishing, hunting, camping, helping with ND amateur boxing matches, playing the bongos and jamming with friends. During those jam sessions, there may have been his favorite, an occasional Jack Daniels and Coke to quench the thirst.
Mick is survived by his wife, Debb, of nearly 49 years; daughter, Jami Huber, Bismarck; son, Kody (Brittney), Bismarck; grandson, Tanner Tesky, Bismarck; granddaughter, Saralyn Huber, Fargo; granddaughter, Aspyn; and grandson, Krew; sisters, Deby (Craig) Smith, Hazen, Lisa (Mike) Weidner, Beulah, Teri (Todd) Parker, Hazen, and Geri Perkins, Bismarck, mother-in-law, Lois Seelye, Bismarck; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank & Helen (Schwab) Scharosch; sister, Bonnie Weigel; father-in-law, Del Seelye; and sister-in-law, Lyn Kapsch, and brother-in-law, Diede Kapsch.
