Frank Walker

Frank Walker, 57, passed away on May 2, 2024, at St. Alexis Hospital in Bismarck surrounded by his loved ones after a courageous battle with ALS. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Frank's life was marked by love, laughter, and a deep connection to the outdoors.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00PM, Thursday, May 9th, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck. 

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00PM, Wednesday, May 8th at Parkway Funeral Service, with a prayer service to begin at 7:00 pm. 

Frank was born on November 11, 1966, in Fort Belvoir, VA, to Frank and Liane (Hrouda) Walker. He attended Bismarck High School but chose to leave early to support his family on the farm. On May 30th, 1998, he married the love of his life, LaWanda (Kraft) Walker. Together, they raised four children: Chad, Liane, Frank Jr., and Cassandra.

Frank found joy and solace in nature, spending countless hours camping, hunting, and fishing. He was a skilled mechanic and took pride in fixing machines of all kinds. His hard work ethic and dedication were evident in everything he did, from fixing machines to helping friends with their equipment. He cherished the moments spent with his family and friends and  was always ready with a helping hand and a story that would leave everyone laughing. 

Frank is survived by his wife, LaWanda; his children, Chad, Liane, Frank Jr., and Cassandra; his five grandchildren, Jovie, Jocelyn, Jemma, Kason, and Jaden; his four sisters, Rosie Zubrod, Linda Gobel, Loretta Arnstaedt in Germany and Karen Bingham in Bismarck. ND.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Liane; father, Frank; and sister, Patty.

Frank's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be greatly missed by all his family and close friends.
