Fred E. Fredricksen, age 90, died on Sunday, May 26, 2019 in Vancouver, WA.

Services will be held at 1 P.M. on Tuesday, June 4 at Faith Lutheran Church, 1402 E Ave C, Bismarck.

Burial is at Fairview Cemetery, Bismarck.

Fred was born on May 12, 1929 in Omaha NE. He enlisted in the US Airforce in 1948. He served four years and received an Honorable Discharge in 1952 at which time he came to North Dakota to join family members in Bismarck.

In 1954 he became a member of Local Union #795 of the United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters. He worked as a Maintenance Supervisor for several companies, this work took him to job sites in more than 20 states and several foreign countries. He retired in 1991.

He married Viola Just in 1956 and they continued to reside in Bismarck where they raised two children.

Fred was member of the American Legion and several other fraternal organizations.

Fred and Viola enjoyed traveling and usually made an extended trip south in the winter months.

Gardening was an important summertime activity for Fred and he took pleasure in sharing fresh produce with friends and neighbors.

He is survived by his son, John Fredricksen; and his daughter, Laurie (Butch) Roberson.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Viola; brother, Joe Fredricksen; and sister, Jackie German.
