George J Doll

George J. Doll, 92, New Salem, died on December 17, 2024.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30AM, Friday, December 20 at St. Pius V Catholic Church, 202 N 3rd St, New Salem, ND. 

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with a rosary/vigil service starting at 6:00 PM, Thursday, December 19 at St. Pius V Catholic Church.

Interment will be held after mass at St. Pius V Catholic Cemetery, New Salem. A lunch will be served after burial.

George was born on December 21, 1931 to Jack and Helen Doll. He was drafted into the Army in October 1954 and served in the occupation Army following World War II. He was discharged from the Army in August,1956.

George married Donna Mae Friesz on October 13, 1956. George and Donna lived on a dairy farm where they raised five children: Mark, Kathy, Russell, JoAnn and Bradley.

On April 20, 1999, Donna passed away from cancer. George met Beverly Schonert and they were married on December 6, 2002. 

George was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Helen; his wife, Donna; brothers, Frederick (Eva) Doll, Conrad (Rose) Doll, Joe Doll; sisters, Agnes (Marvin) Rud and Rose Doll; and grandson, Michael Krebs.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly; his children, Mark (Kristi) Doll, Kathy (Rick) Krebs, Russell (Robin) Doll, JoAnn (Kirby) Kruger, and Bradley Doll; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
