Georgiana was born to Anton and Agatha (Welder) Piatz June 4, 1950, at St. Alexius Hospital. She graduated from Napoleon High School in 1968 and married Anton J. Gross August 12, 1970. They moved to Wilton where she took pride in being a custodian for many years at the Wilton Public School. When moving to Bismarck, she absolutely loved her position at the Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center where she was employed in the dietary department. Georgie was a hard worker, dedicated to her duties, and excelled. She truly adored her work family.
Mom was overjoyed of being a grandma and was so proud of each grandchild. Baking cookies, planting flowers, or just coloring with them made her smile from ear to ear. She enjoyed watching HGTV, soap operas and completing word finds all while sipping on apple cider!
Survivors include her three children, Roseann (Dave) Lindell, Bismarck, Antoinette (Brad) Heier, Hazen, and Troy (Jessica) Gross of Bismarck; grandchildren, Shalae and Brenna Lindell, Makena and Kaden Heier, Trey and Easton Gross. Georgiana is also survived by her amazing father, Anton (Tony) Piatz, Bismarck; sisters, Alice (Junior) Cruz, Ottawa, Illinois, Jolene (Gary Fettig) Bismarck, and Paulette (Steve) Peterson Bismarck, brothers, Francis (Cathy) Piatz, and Tony Piatz, all of Bismarck; brother in-law, Adam Gross, Butte, MT; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Babnick, Bismarck, Eleanor Wealhof, Zeeland, Helen Schmidt and Wilma Gross of Napoleon; along with numerous nieces and nephews whom she cherished very much.
Georgiana was greeted in heaven by her loving husband, Anton; and her mother, Agatha. Also greeting mom are her in-laws, Joseph and Christina Gross, along with many other loved ones. Perhaps a big polka party is taking place!
