Glen W Hansen

Glen W. Hansen, 90, Mandan, passed away on November 13, 2018, at CHI St. Alexius Health, Bismarck. There will be no visitation, as cremation has taken place. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, November 21, 2018, at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan. Glen was born March 23, 1928, in Glendive, MT, to Martin and Dorothy (Young) Hansen. He attended Glendive public schools and later graduated from Dawson County Junior College in 1948, and went on to Montana State College in Bozeman, MT. Glen served honorably in Germany during the Korean War. From 1950 to 1957 Glen worked on the Northern Pacific Railroad. He later worked at the Cenex Pipeline and retired in 1990. In 1974, Glen married Joyce Taplin Pischel in Glendive, MT. Glen built his first home in Glendive. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, as well as working on his cabin at Ft. Peck Lake. In 2006, Glen and Joyce moved to Bismarck, for health reasons. Glen is survived by his wife, Joyce; two nieces, Robyn and Gail; and one nephew, Michael.
