Gregory “Greg” Thomas McIntyre, 60, of Bismarck, ND passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on July 30, 2023 at Sanford Hospital, Bismarck.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, August 4, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 1919 N 2nd St, Bismarck.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM, Thursday, August 3, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck. A rosary/vigil will begin at 7:00 PM.
Burial will be held at a later date at St. Mary's Cemetery, Bismarck.
Greg was born October 22, 1962 in Bismarck, ND to James “Jim” and Wilma (Backer) McIntyre. He attended St. Mary’s High School and graduated from Century High School. After school, he was employed by Mutual of Omaha, later transferring to Arizona. Greg and Diane Kramlich welcomed their child, William “Bill,” in 1987. Later they made their home in Cheyenne, WY where Greg was employed by Consolidating Freight.
Greg and Diane were married on August 18, 1990 in Cheyenne, WY. In 1995, they moved to Vancouver, WA where Greg continued to work for Consolidating Freight; in 1997 he was in a bad truck accident. In 1998, he went to college to become a butcher and later worked on the West Coast.
In 2010, Greg moved to North Dakota where he worked a few odd jobs, including the farmer’s market with his cousin, Roberta Thorson. Greg faithfully cared for his father, Jim, until his death in 2022.
Greg enjoyed many things: hunting, fishing, camping, cooking, and spending time with his family and friends. He took pride in all of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his mother, Wilma (Backer) McIntyre of Bismarck, ND; brother, Jeffrey McIntyre of Saint Peter, MN; sister, Cindy (Randy) Eckroth of Bismarck, ND; children, Shanon (Sherri) Zimney of Maurice, LA, Joe (Lucy) Zimney of Jamestown, ND, Dustin (Alesha) Zimney of Jamestown, ND, Savannah (James) Arnott of Minot, ND, and William “Bill” (Amber) McIntyre of Ypsilanti, ND; 18 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; niece, Breann “Munchkin” (Nikki) McIntyre; nephews, Kyle (Jude Green) Eckroth and Jesse Eckroth; partner, Peggy Ziegler; and many additional family members.
He was preceded in death by his father, James McIntyre.
Greg was kind, accepting, and fun to be around; everyone who knew him loved him. He will be deeply missed.
