Henry “Hank” Arthur Albers, 80, of Bismarck, ND passed away on September 15, 2023.

A service to celebrate Hank’s life will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, 413 E Ave D, Bismarck, on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at 3:00 p.m.  Family will greet guests from 2:00-3:00 p.m. To view the service livestream, go to https://www.zionbismarck.org/

Born on February 28, 1943 in Kirkland, Washington to Arthur and Rose (Brandt) Albers, Hank began his remarkable journey.  As a young child, he relocated to Hannover, ND, where he cultivated his work ethic alongside his father at the family’s general store.  Hank moved to Bismarck and began working at a car dealership washing cars.  He was married on January 18, 1964 to Jeanette “Jan” Frank.  They enjoyed many wonderful years together and loved their time at Lake Sakakawea and in the Florida Keys.  Hank had a passion for speed which included racing sprint cars and attending the Indy 500. As the years progressed, Hank eventually owned different car and boat dealerships. He loved the connections he made with his customers over the years and was always willing to help them.  They were his customers for life.

Hank was most proud of his family and the deep connection he had with his four grandchildren. He loved spending time with the entire family together, especially watching the grandchildren grow up together.  His grandchildren will miss their weekly texts and calls from their gramps. Hank also loved returning to the Center/Hannover area where he enjoyed the peaceful serenity of wide-open fields and hunting with relatives and friends.

Hank will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 59 years, Jan; daughter, Traci (Jason) Hilsabeck and their children, Jack and Ally, Bismarck; son, Mitch (Kristi) Albers and their children Campbell and Presley, Mahtomedi, MN; sister, LaDonna Rossow, Oveido, FL; and nieces and nephews.

Hank had a strong Lutheran faith and was passionate about the mission of the Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch, supporting their efforts throughout the years and serving on their board. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch, 6301 19th Avenue NW, PO Box 5007, Minot, ND 58702.
