Hunter Daniel Seifert, 16, of Bismarck, ND went to heaven on February 15, 2019 after a two-and-a-half-year battle with cancer.
Hunter’s funeral will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday February 20, 2019 at Shiloh Christian School, 1915 Shiloh Dr, Bismarck.
A Celebration of Hunter’s life will be held from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Tuesday February 19 at Bismarck Baptist Church, 2211 Laforest Avenue, Bismarck, where a prayer service will begin at 7:00pm.
Hunter was born on March 7, 2002, in Bullhead City, Arizona to Dan and Julie Seifert. A few months after his birth, he and his parents moved back to Bismarck, ND to be closer to family. He is the oldest of the Seifert children with one sister and two brothers.
Hunter was a junior at Shiloh Christian School. He has attended Shiloh since first grade and has developed many great friendships throughout the years. He loved to play football, but he had to turn in his cleats when he was first diagnosed with stage 4 cancer his freshman year in 2016. He didn’t let that stop him though. He discovered that he could have just as much fun on the golf course. Hunter also had a passion for the drums. He was self-taught and had the opportunity to play for different occasions. He also was a hard worker that liked to work with his parents at the family lawn business.
Hunter leaves behind his parents, Dan and Julie Seifert; his sister, Gabrielle Seifert; two brothers, Carter and Mason Seifert; his grandparents, Dave and Angie Fleckenstein, and Dan and Maggie Seifert; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Hunter also leaves behind his two dogs; Copper and Addy; and cat, Sampson.
In lieu of flowers, the Seifert’s, on Hunter’s behalf, request a donation be made to “Brave the Shave”, “Make a Wish of North Dakota” or “The Outdoor Adventure Foundation.” These organizations have been huge blessings to children fighting cancer in North Dakota.
