Irene Minton

Irene (Sorch) Minton passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday morning, Jan. 31, 2022, at her home in Bismarck after a short battle with cancer.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2 at Eastgate Funeral Service, 2302 E Divide Ave., Bismarck. Visitation will continue from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Eastgate Funeral Service, 2302 E Divide Ave., Bismarck.

A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 3 at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.

She was born in Bismarck in 1934 to Joseph and Mary Sorch and was raised on the family farm near Baldwin. She attended all 12 grades at St Mary's, Bismarck.

In 1975 she married Leonard (Jack) Minton and they resided in Bismarck.

Irene is survived by her husband, Jack; stepdaughter, Catherine (Douglas) Ducheneaux, Winner, S.D.; and two grandsons and three step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
