Irene Perman, age 95, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM, Thursday, Nov. 21 at United Church of Christ, 1200 E Highland Acres Rd, Bismarck.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be held at 2:00 PM at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.
Irene was born in Venteria, North Dakota on August 18, 1929 and later moved to Bismarck, ND where she spent the majority of her life. Throughout her 95 years, Irene’s warmth, kindness and unwavering love for her family were the foundation of her life.
She had a passion for gardening over the years. A gifted cook, Irene was especially known for her German recipes, which she loved to prepare and share with her family. But above all, it was time spent with her loved ones that meant the most to her. Irene’s grandchildren were particularly special to her, and each one of them knew they were her favorite. Her generosity of spirit, infectious laughter, and heartfelt care will live on in the memories of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Irene was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harold Perman; her parents; and siblings.
Irene is survived by three children, Clark (Jackie) Perman, Patty (Leonard) Feist, and Kay (Ken) Plum; she is also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Irene’s legacy of love and devotion will continue to inspire her family for generations to come.
