Irene Stecher-Hall, 97, died on September 30, 2018, at CHI St. Alexius Health, Bismarck. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Thursday, October 4, 2018, at Church of Corpus Christi, 1919 N 2nd St, Bismarck, ND, with Rev. Paul Becker officiating. A rosary will be said before mass starting at 10:00 am Thursday at the church. Burial will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2018; at 1:00 PM at Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, ND. Cremation has taken place. Irene was born in Dickinson on August 10, 1921, to Joseph and Elizabeth (Herberholz) Stecher. She attended school in Bismarck area and graduated from St. Mary’s Central High School. She married William “Bill” Hall in 1947. They made their home in MN until Bill’s retirement where they moved to Albuquerque. Bill died in 1983. In Minnesota, Irene worked for NW Bell for 30 plus years as an office manager. She had been in Bismarck for the last 13 years. Irene loved to travel and enjoyed time with her sisters, Rosemary and Catherine, on those adventures. She also enjoyed sewing. Irene was a member of Corpus Christi Church and a member of the Catholic Daughters. Irene is survived by her sisters, Rosemary Helbling and Laura (Bruce) Boehm; her friend, Lorraine Hoffman; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, William; parents, Joseph and Elizabeth Stecher; her siblings, Catherine Anderst, Roy Stecher, Valerine Roe, Richard Stecher, Joseph Stecher, Elizabeth Anderson, Rod Stecher, and Joe Stecher; her nephew, Bill Anderst; and niece, Diane Koenig. In lieu of flowers, a mass in memorial of Irene may be given.
