Jack E. Bugge, Bismarck, ND, died peacefully on December 16, 2017. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday, December 20, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck. Family will be greeting visitors one hour prior to the service at Parkway Funeral Service. Jack’s ashes will be interred next to his parents at the Sanish RiverView Cemetery. He was born in Fargo, ND, on June 9, 1948. Jack graduated from Tioga High School in 1966. He attended Gonzaga University on a baseball scholarship and received a Bachelor’s degree in Education. He later attended North Dakota State University where he received a Master’s degree. Jack was a lover of the outdoors and life in North Dakota. He was a gifted athlete and baseball player, and a lifelong Gonzaga, Baltimore Orioles, and NDSU sports fan. He enjoyed nothing more than spending time on his boat, fishing, and hunting with his friends and family. He had many hunting labs throughout his lifetime that were dear companions. Jack had an amazing sense of humor and loved a good joke, as anyone that knew him can attest to. Jack is survived by the love of his life and soulmate, Jeanette Leiss; his daughter, Anna Bugge and her husband, Dale Ratliff and his beloved grandson, Crosby, Denver, CO; and his twin sister, Jo Ellen Bugge, Bismarck. He is also survived by his cherished hunting dog Rosie.
