James E. Scherf, 48, of Bismarck passed away on May 13, 2019. Services will be held at 3:00 pm Friday, May 17, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm Thursday, May 16, at Parkway Funeral Service, Bismarck.
Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Bismarck.
He was born in Bismarck, ND on November 26, 1970 to John and Patricia Scherf.
James graduated from South Central High School, and went on to expand his career into Broadcasting.
He married Pamela Barker on May 9, 2008 and it was the happiest day of his life. They went on to gain four amazing fur babies Maxwell (Dog), Mittens, Nash, and Squirt (Cats) who brought many years of joy to him.
James was employed at Welcome House, Inc. from May 2017 up until his passing. James loved helping the less fortunate families in the community. James was very passionate about his video and computer gaming, and considered himself as a top gamer. He loved reading, watching all types of movies and TV series, and even enjoyed watching “girly” shows with his wife. James had a passion for hunting and fishing that started at a very young age.
He is survived by his wife Pamela; his mother, Patricia Scherf; his mother-in-law, Vagola (Doe) Richardson; his special nephew, Cody Tanner; his father-in-law, Funnon Barker; his grandmother, Christina Lippert; and his four fur babies, Maxwell, Mittens, Nash and Squirt.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Scherf; his father-in-law, Mark Richardson; his grandparents, James and Jeanne Scherf and Earl Lippert.
