Jamey Renz

February 9, 1992 — January 27, 2025

Bismarck

After a courageous fight with cancer, Jamey Renz, Bismarck, passed away January 27, 2025 surrounded by her family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, February 1 at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck. Visitation will be held one hour prior.

Burial will be held at Moffit Cemetery.

Jamey Lynn Renz was born on February 9, 1992 in a Bismarck Hospital to Tim and Gwen (Wetzel) Renz. She joined her sister, Miranda.

Jamey received her education at HMB School in Hazelton, involving herself in girls’ basketball, volleyball, band and dance. She graduated in 2010. She went on to the Hair Academy in Bismarck. She soon discovered that her wrists and shoulders could not take the pressure of doing hair and decided it was not what she wanted to do. In February 2014 She began working at Borrowed Bucks Road House in Bismarck where she made many friends and it soon became her favorite job. Jamey was a large part of the Bucks community for eight years. She later worked at various retail stores and lastly, she worked at Rural Psychiatry and Associates as a Patient Coordinator.

Jamey loved animals and was a parent to four rescue pets, two dogs and two cats. She loved her mom’s German cooking, especially kraut strudles and dumplings. She was an excellent cook and loved to try new recipes.

She had a heart of gold and would give anyone the shirt off her back if necessary. Her kindness was something that made her proud, and was a quality that many people cherished.

When her niece Natalie entered the world, she instantly fell in love with her. Natalie knew this too, as Jamey was the only person she’d say “I love you” to! No one else got Natalie to say those three words! Jamey’s last few months with us were spent watching football games with her dad, especially the Vikings. Her positivity and will to live never wavered. She refused to accept sympathy and only wanted people to remain positive.

Jamey is survived by her parents, Tim and Gwen, Hazelton; sister, Miranda (partner, Eric Wilson), Garrison; niece, Natalie, Garrison; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents on both sides; uncles, Jerry Schweitzer, Tim Nicholson, Dan Renz, and Curt Wehri.

Fly high, Doll Face! We love you and you will forever be in our hearts.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Furry Friends Rockin’ Rescue.
