Burial at the Moffitt Cemetery.

Jane was born on October 17th, 1945. She grew up in McClusky and later moved to Bismarck. There she met the love of her life, Kenneth Renz. Jane and Kenneth were married on May 25th, 1963. They raised two children together on their farm in Moffit. They were everything to each other and were an example of what true love looked like.

Jane loved spending time in her garden where she planted an assortment of vegetables every year. That was her happy place and she could get lost for hours digging in the dirt. Cooking and baking was another passion of hers and of course she never let the family leave hungry. Some of her famous dishes/baked goods were her chicken lasagna, borscht soup, Kenny syrup, zucchini bars, and her wedding kuchen.

She was great at household activities and would also help Kenneth run the farm. They worked hand in hand to keep the place going. She even ran the combine and was a big help with the cow-calf operation. Jane and Kenneth eventually retired from raising cattle and instead started raising cats. They named and loved every cat they had on their farm. Jane did have a favorite cat named Amanda who they’ve had for 17 years.

Even though Jane was a country girl she loved spending time with the ladies in her family, going on shopping trips and getting lunch in Bismarck. She was also a supportive grandmother who never missed a sporting, concert, or dance event if she could help it. She was the most loving and caring person and her memory will be cherished forever.

Jane is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Kenneth Renz; children, Dee Ann (Mark) Foster, Jason (Kim) Renz; grandchildren, Zach (Hope) Renz, Josh Renz, Jacob Renz, Alexis Eberle (Lance Langford), Matt (Savannah) Foster, Breanna (Gabe) Hartfield; great-grandchildren, Ava Renz, Bryson Renz, Ellie Renz, Trent Foster, Quinn Foster, Remmy Foster, MaKoy Hartfield, Khloe Hartfield; her brothers, Leonard (Barb) Hoffer, Bill (LouAnn) Hoffer; and her sisters and brothers-in-law, Marlene Hartje, Sharon (Pat) Carroll, Carol (Jim) Kuykendall, Gary (Corrine) Renz, Donna Renz, and Betty Hoffer.
