Janet Sauter, 69, loving mother and grandmother passed away with family by her side, in Bismarck, ND on Saturday, May 28, 2022.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, June 3, 2022, at Bismarck Baptist Church, 2211 Laforest Ave., Bismarck, ND, with Pastor Rod Poppinga officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, June 2, 2022, at Bismarck Baptist Church, 2211 Laforest Ave., Bismarck, ND, with a prayer service starting at 7 p.m., with Pastor Bryan Hochhalter officiating. Visitation will also continue one hour prior to the service at the church.
Burial will be held at 2:30 p.m., at the Linton Cemetery, Linton, ND.
Janet Delores Sauter was born December 8th, 1952, to Alvin and Delores Sauter in Linton, ND. She attended farm school for one year and then went to Linton Public School and graduated high school in 1971. She attended Dickinson State College and met Clarence Stzegura and they married March 5th, 1976. They lived on his family farm for a bit in Gascoyne, ND and then moved back to Dickinson and had a daughter Joscelyn in 1978. Clarence died in 1978. In 1979, she married Bruce Dutchuk. They had three sons Bruce, Michael, and Christopher. They divorced in 1990.
Janet and her four children lived in Grand Forks, ND. She worked at the Big Sioux Café until 1996. She then moved to Bismarck and worked from 1996 to 2013 at the Radisson Hotel as Manager of the Terrance Restaurant and spoke lovingly of her staff and customers. In 2013 she joined Hit, Inc. and met and assisted clients in their daily lives. She loved her job and felt blessed to have worked there. In 2018 she went to work at the new North Cashwise. Again, her love for customers made her happy.
Janet leaves behind her four children Joscelyn (Chuck) Varland, and Jordyn and Connor; Bruce (Alea) Dutchuk and Tristan, Lydell, Nevada, Dallas, and Gabriel; Mike (Sarah) Dutchuk and Drayden and Brynlee; Christopher (Dana) Dutchuk and Jaxon; sister Sandy (Clyde) Wilson; four aunts Sharon James, Carole Baumiller, Ilean (Richard) Ellestad and Eleanor Nieuwsma; and lots of cousins, nephews and nieces and many friends that are like family especially Max and Carter and the Sorch family.
Waiting for her in heaven is her beloved grandchild, Kaizley, parents, Alvin and Delores Sauter, brothers, Larry and Clinton Sauter, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was and always will be a loving mother and grandmother. She will be missed dearly by her children, grandchildren, and all who knew her.
