Janice Elaine Schlosser

Janice E. Schlosser, 88, of Bismarck passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2024.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at 10 AM at Ascension Catholic Church with a visitation one hour prior to mass. Burial will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery, Bismarck, ND.

Janice Schlosser was born on July 12th, 1936, in South Heart, ND to Peter and Magdalen (Billman) Smith. She passed away at home on August 22nd, 2024. Janice married Louie Schlosser on January 5th, 1963, and to this union, 5 children were born – Jack, Shelly, Dan, Mary and Elizabeth. Janice will be remembered for her love of baking, especially for her Christmas cookies and brownies. She was the kindest person you have ever met. She loved her family, and especially loved being a grandma to her two grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Janice is survived by her two sons, Jack and Dan, two granddaughters, Beth (Tristen) Even and Mariah (John) Ratliff, three great grandchildren, John and Olivia Ratliff, and Hayden Even, Sister, Mary Kuntz, and many nieces and nephews.

Janice is preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Magdalen, husband, Louie, daughters, Mary, Elizabeth and Shelly Schlosser, brothers Carl “Buster” Smith, Robert Smith and LeRoy “Buddy” Smith, sisters LaVerne “Toots” Luptak and Georgie Pedeliski, and great granddaughter, McKinsey Even.
