Jeanette Strehlow, 76, Hettinger, died April 28, 2018, at CHI St. Alexius Health, Bismarck, after a short illness. Services will be held at 10:30 am Thursday, May 3, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, with Msgr. Gene Lindemann officiating. Burial will be at the Hettinger Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Wednesday, May 2, at Parkway Funeral Service, Bismarck, where a rosary will begin at 6:00 pm. Jeannette K. Strehlow was born January 26, 1942, to John and Ann Jordan in Billings, MT, the second of 13 children. On August 10, 1959, she married Earl Strehlow in Mott, ND. Jeanette farmed west of Hettinger with her husband, Earl, and they began expanding the family farm into a 200 cow-grade A dairy farm and were one of the first dairy farmers to utilize the newest technology in automatic milking and feeding systems. Jeanette was an active leader in 4-H and loved to sew, selling many of her craft items at various vender shows around the area. In 1992, Earl and Jeanette moved to Bismarck, where she worked at Ben Franklin and continued doing vender shows. Jeanette is survived by her sons, Jeff (Sandy) and Eugene (Dee) Strehlow, Hettinger, ND; her daughter, Linda (Tom) Marion, Hettinger, ND; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ernest (Carol) Jordan and Russell (Marion) Jordan, Mott, ND; six sisters, Delores (Stanley) Hughes, Hillsboro, IL, Carol (Chris) Voegele, Bowman, ND, Mary (Larry) Messer, Mott, ND, Elaine (Russell) Mather, Bismarck, ND, Ann (Todd) Bortke, Bismarck, ND, Roberta Myhra, Fargo, ND; brother-in-law, Vince Swenson; three sisters-in-law, Joyce Dieterle, Bismarck, ND, Diane Brown, St. Paul, MN, and Shirley (Jerry) Hecker, Sheridan, MT; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband Earl six weeks ago; her parents, John and Ann Jordan; her in-laws, Ben and Bernice Strehlow; four brothers, Lawrence, Gary, Marvin, and Wayne.
