Jeff A. Diede, departed this world on December 2, 2024, just weeks shy of his 57th birthday. He leaves behind a legacy of love, family, and a zest for life that touched all who knew him.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM, Monday, Dec. 9, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck. A vigil service will begin at 7:00 PM.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 11:30 AM, Tuesday, Dec. 10, at Pro-Cathedral of St. Mary, 825 E Broadway Ave, Bismarck.
Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bismarck.
Jeff was born on December 25th, 1967 to Kenneth and Marjorie (Schmidt) Diede. He was raised in Bismarck, ND and attended St. Mary's Schools and graduated from St. Mary's Central High School in 1986, where he showcased his passion for sports by playing football and running track.
In 1987, Jeff started working at Supervalu Warehouse and joined Teamsters Union Local 123 as a member. After 26 years at Supervalu, Jeff moved to a position with Teamsters Local 638 as a business agent and trustee in 2013. He was passionate about his job with Teamsters Local 638 in which he made many friends.
It was during his teenage years that he met Sheila, the love of his life, when they were just 14 years old. Their bond led them to become engaged at 19, and they celebrated their union on August 17, 1990, at the Pro-Cathedral of St. Mary in Bismarck. Together, they embraced the journey of family life, starting their family right away. Jeff cherished every moment spent with his family, cultivating a strong and loving home.
An avid outdoorsman, Jeff found joy in hunting and fishing with his brother, Mark. His passion for nature extended to various outdoor activities, including camping and spending cherished moments with his loved ones. Known for his woodworking skills, Jeff also enjoyed crafting pieces that would serve as reminders of his creativity and dedication.
Jeff is survived by his wife of 34 years, Sheila Diede; his daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Johnathan Fettig; his beloved mother, Marjorie Diede; sisters, Carla Diede and Kathy Bayer; sisters-in-law, Laurie Diede, Sharon Schmidt (Jake Sauter), Sandy (Al) Doffee, Stephanie (Shawn) Mittlestadt; brothers-in-law, Robert Schmidt and Ronnie Schmidt; and too many nieces and nephews to count.
Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth; brother, Mark; brothers-in-law, Bill Bayer and Aaron Vedquam; and his mother and father-in-law, Catherine and Steve Schmidt.
In these moments of reflection and remembrance, those who knew Jeff will remember him not just for his passions, but for the bonds he built and the love he shared. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
