Jerry Putzier

Jerry (Putz) Putzier, 71, Linton (Cattail Bay), passed away August 28, 2019 at a Bismarck Hospital.   

Cremation has taken place at Eastgate Funeral Service in Bismarck, ND. Jerry did not want a funeral service. A celebration of life will be on Saturday, October 5, at Cattail Resort, Linton, ND at 12:00 Noon where his ashes will be laid to rest with a luncheon to follow. There will be non-hookup camping available for those wishing to bring a camper.   There are also two hotels in Linton.                                                                         

Jerry was born in Bellingham, MN on August 27, 1948 to August Putzier and Verene Longhenry. Jerry worked at Wallworks in Bismarck, ND for many years. He lived at Cattail Bay until he entered Missouri Lutheran Care Center in 2012 due to health issues.                                                                                                       

Jerry is survived by his daughter, Kari Janssen and son, Corey Putzier both of Souix Falls, SD; his sister, Jan Kirchberg, Bellingham, MN; brother, David Putzier, Nevada; grandchildren, Ashton Putzier, Mikayla Janssen, and Austin Janssen, all from Souix Falls, SD, and Josiah Kohlmeyer, Coon Rapids, MN and his Cattail Family.                                                                                                                                                                       

Jerry was preceded in death by his dad, August Putzier; and his mother Verene Longhenry Raaf.                                                                               

Jerry requested no flowers and memorials to be made to charity of choice.
