Joan C. Miller

Joan C. Miller, 84, Mandan, ND, passed away peacefully surrounded with love and family on Thursday, March 14, 2019.

Services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, March 21, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Wednesday, March 20, at Parkway Funeral Service, Bismarck.

Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck.

Joan was born in Hazelton, ND, on October 1, 1934, to David and Inez Crimmins. She was raised in the Glencoe and Wing, ND, areas. She married Alden Miller in 1951. Together they raised six children. Joan was a passionate gardener and worked tirelessly to preserve food for her family. She loved music and dancing. Joan will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Joan was very proud of her 40 combined years as a Medical Ward Secretary at Medcenter One, Bismarck, and Campbell County Hospital, Gillette, WY. After retirement she moved to the Bismarck/Mandan area. Until recently, she was able to live independently.

Joan is survived by her children, David and Norma Miller, Gillette, WY, Bradley and Cindy Miller, Bismarck, ND, Bonnie and Mike Aide, Bismarck, ND, Darrell Miller, Gillette, WY, JoAl and Charles Wagner, Maricopa, AZ, and James Miller and special friend, Sherry Gezel, Wright, WY; her sisters, Davetta and John Rinkel, Mandan, ND, and Sharon Boone, Rifle, CO; her brother, Paul and Avelina Crimmins, Safford, AZ; ten grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents, David and Inez Crimmins; and her brother, Richard Crimmins.
