Joel Zahn

Joel Zahn, 59, of Lincoln, ND, entered into the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ on August 2, 2018 after a long health battle. To celebrate his life, family will greet visitors from 5:00 – 7:00 pm on Monday August 6, at Eastgate Funeral Service, 2302 East Divide Avenue, Bismarck, where a prayer service will begin at 7:00pm. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am, on Tuesday August 7 at Century Baptist Church, 205 Colt Avenue, Bismarck. Also, a funeral service will be held at Memorial Baptist Church, Spring, TX., on Saturday August 11 at 11 am. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Joel was born in Minot ND and graduated from Minot State University in 1986 with two Bachelor Degrees in Criminal Justice and Psychology. He was the Chaplain and President of Freedom Prison Ministries and loved serving those incarcerated.  He was a salesman at Rainbow Shop for several years.  Joel loved people, all people.  He was an incredible husband and father, and a friend to many. He had many friends that he had impacted in his life.  Though he will be greatly missed, we are thankful that we will see him again in Heaven. Joel is survived by his wife, Renee Zahn; his children, Ranee Parker, Zechariah, Mollee and Emilee Zahn; his Mother, DeLila Bachmeier; step-Dad Bill Bachmeier, and brother, Kirk, Step-sisters Jeanette, Valarie, and VeeAnn. In lieu of flowers, Joel asked that donations be given to Freedom Prison Ministries, PO Box 1252, Bismarck, ND , and an account has been set up for his family at Starion Bank, 2900 North Washington Street, Bis.
