John "Johnny" P. Lang, Jr.

John "Johnny" Lang, 63, Menoken, passed away unexpectedly October 2, 2018. Services will be held Tuesday, October 9, at 11:00 a.m. at GracePoint Church, 205 43rd Ave NE, Bismarck, ND, with Rev. Kevin Lardy officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 8, from 4:00pm – 8:00pm at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck.John was born December 20, 1954, to John and Viola Lang of Sterling, ND. He married Jan Agnew in 1974.  They raised their two children on a ranch north of Menoken. John loved ranching and spending time with friends and family. He was always willing to lend a hand to a neighbor in need or tackle a home improvement project for one of his girls. He raised Blue Heeler dogs and proudly trained them to watch the gate and move the cattle from pasture to pasture. John loved the outdoors. He enjoyed basketball, softball, football and listening to country western music. John expressed his love through his hearty home cooking, putting together toys at Christmas, tackling a messy project or playing in the yard with the Grandkids. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Jan, Menoken; his daughters, Cristal (Craig) Larsen, Valley City, ND, and Lisa (Tim) Wagner, Bismarck, ND; two granddaughters, Sydney and Lauren Larsen and two grandsons, Grant and Eli Wagner; his father, John Lang Sr.; six brothers, Dennis (Marcie), Larry (Neva), Dwight, Ross (Bonnie), Brad, and Jeremy (Brandie), all of Bismarck; and six sisters, Diana Welk, Terrie (Louis) Bottigliere, Pamela (Curt) Wagner, Stacy (Brian) Stockert, all of Bismarck, ND, Carol (Roger) Lewis, New Mexico and Karla (Gary), Lonning, Minot, ND; and numerous nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his mother, Viola; his sister, Shannon; and father-in-law, Milton Agnew. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to a charity of the donor’s choice.
