John LaFramboise, 84, Bismarck, died May 13, 2018, at CHI St. Alexius Health, Bismarck. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am Thursday, May 17, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Parkway Funeral Service, Bismarck. Burial will be held at 12:00 Noon Thursday at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan. John B. LaFramboise was born on June 1, 1933, in Warren, MN, the son of John and Albertha (Robideau) LaFramboise. He grew up in Red Lake Falls, MN, where he graduated from high school in 1952. While serving in the Navy, John married Emma Jane Miller and they had four children, John III “Bubba”, Mike, Denise, and Steve. John moved to Bismarck, where he worked for Addressograph-Multigraph until 1978, when he formed a partnership and started Graphic Services, working there until his retirement in 1999. As a fun side adventure in 1970, John, Jane, Dennis and Carolyn Ogroske owned and operated the SPOT in Bismarck. He later married Jan Aune in January 1979 and added three stepchildren to his family, Jeff, Steven, and Kari. John enjoyed watching the Vikings, morning walks at Kirkwood Mall, coffee with friends, playing pinochle, and dancing. You could see him every Saturday evening at the Eagles Club in Mandan. John is survived by his children, Denise (Tim) Heck, Bismarck, and Steve (Carol) LaFramboise, Bismarck; his stepchildren, Jeff (Lisa) Aune, Fargo, Karie (Gregg) Kuta, Delta, CO, and Steve (Jenny) Aune, Verona, WI; his grandchildren, Jeremy (Bobbie) LaFramboise, John IV (Jennifer) LaFramboise, Travis LaFramboise, Jason (Danielle) Landeis, Justin Landeis (Karla Radig), Megan LaFramboise (Ben Heaton), Tyler LaFramboise, Joshua Aune, Karsen Aune, Andrew Aune, and Ben Aune, Emily Kuta and Erika Kuta; numerous great-grandchildren; and his sister, Elaine LaChance. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jan Aune LaFramboise; his sons, Mike and John III “Bubba” LaFramboise; one sister, Deloris; and his parents.
