Joyce Hansen

Joyce C. Hansen, 93, passed away March 30, 2024 at St. Alexius Hospital, Bismarck.

Joyce was born on January 21, 1931, the daughter of Howard and Ida (Fosberg) Taplin. She graduated from Wilton High School.

She was married to William “Bill” Pischel, who passed at a young age.  In 1974, she married Glen Hansen in Glendive, MT. They lived in Glendive before moving to Bismarck in 2006.

Joyce is survived by her nephews, Monte (Kathy) Gimbel and great nephews, Kyle Gimbel, Tyler Gimbel, and John Hagenstein and his son, Abram.  Joyce’s bonus family includes Dale Vogel and Gina Turitto and special caregiver Dee.

Joyce was preceded in death by her two husbands, William Pischel and Glen Hansen, her parents, her sister Ione Gimbel, brother in law Edwin Gimbel, brother Glenn and niece Pamela Hagenstein.

The family would like to thank Hay Creek Assisted Living staff for their help and friendship in the last few years of Joyce’s life.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm, Wednesday, July 31 at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.
