Joyce Windsor

Joyce Elise (Wagner) Windsor,42, passed away on June 8, 2019.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday June 17, 2019 at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 1143 N 26th St, Bismarck.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm on Sunday June 16, 2019 at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will be held at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery.

Joyce was born in Bismarck on November 22, 1976. She was raised on the family farm in Arena, ND. She graduated from Wing High School in Wing, ND. Joyce received a psychology Degree from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Med Center One College of Nursing, in Bismarck. Joyce worked at Med Center One and Sanford Hospital and Clinics as a nurse in multiple specialties.

Joyce had a passion for caring for people. She enjoyed music and movies. A big smile and contagious laughter were always present when Joyce was involved, she was loved by many. Joyce loved camping, boating in the pontoon and kayaking with family and the “Camp Crew” was one of Joyce’s favorite things to do in the summer. Joyce married Sean, the love of her life, on October 16, 2010. In that union Abigail (2011) and Jaxson (2014) completed their family. Joyce’s greatest joy was her husband and children, who were her number one priority. She had a gift for making sure everyone was included, always giving a hug and saying, “I love you.” Joyce was a member of Lord of Life Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday school.

Joyce is survived by her husband, Sean Windsor, children, Abigail and Jaxson; her parents, Ronald and Dorothy (Wheelis) Wagner, brother, Russell (Laurie) Wagner, father and mother-in-law, David and Roxine O’Dell, her brother-in-law, Shane (Carrie) Windsor, and sister-in-law Sonja (Joel) Brenna; her nephews, Austin, Evan, Ryan Wagner, and Cooper Hamm; her nieces, Shyanne and Mia Windsor and Meagan Johnson; great niece, Marley Malnourie; her grandparents, Carl and Anita Wagner; uncles and aunts, Carol (Vern) Jergens, Jackie (Jerry) Whitegon, Don (Pam) Wheelis, Hazel Beaver, Rose (Rick) Green and numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Don and Clara Wheelis.
