Julie Marie Walther, 59, passed away due to complications from pneumonia on March 18, 2018, at her home in Bismarck. Graveside services will be held on Monday, May 28, at St. Anthony Cemetery, Linton. Julie was born to Edward and Mary (Jangula) Walther on her mother’s birthday, October 18, 1958. She grew up on a farm west of Linton before her parents moved into town in 1969. She attended elementary school at Linton Public School and high school at Emmons Central High School in Strasburg, graduating in 1976. After Julie graduated, she was asked by her aunt and uncle to come stay with them near the Minneapolis area where she found a job and worked there for several years. Wishing to live in a warmer climate, a friend of hers had relatives in Tucson, AZ, and they decided to take the challenge and move there. Julie got a job as a hotel receptionist; she acquired a home and spent several years there. Later, Julie’s dad had ill health so she decided to come back to North Dakota, where she could be close to her parents. She lived in the Bismarck-Mandan area working for a number of years until she started having ill health herself. Julie was a very caring person and made sure she kept in contact with her relatives, visiting them as often as she could. She is survived by her brother, LeRoy, Linton. She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents; many uncles, aunts, and cousins.
