Justin Moch

Justin Michael Moch, 41, of Bismarck, North Dakota, passed away on January 28th at his home. He was born in Bismarck to Alan and Sandra (Witikko) Moch on February 6th, 1981.

A memorial gathering will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, Feb. 3, at the Bismarck Amvets Club, at 2402 Railroad Ave, Bismarck.

Justin grew up in Bismarck with his older sister and brother, spending time at his grandparent’s farm, and having fun with cousins and friends from school. Justin attended Bismarck High School (class of 2001) where he developed lifelong friendships.

He was a scholar who enjoyed studying and researching, he attended both Bismarck State College and Dickinson State University studying a variety of interests ranging from Powerplant Technology to Biology, graduating with multiple degrees and numerous honors. While attending college, Justin interned for Senator Byron Dorgan before moving on to his university studies. He loved history, science, and technology and continued reading everything he could about all of those subjects up until his passing.

Justin’s heart had an endless capacity for love and kindness. In his spare time he enjoyed helping others and was always working to fix things for other people. He was able to troubleshoot almost anything mechanical and could be found working to fix problems with his friend’s and family’s vehicles very often. When he wasn’t helping others he enjoyed stargazing, reading, hunting and fishing, an eclectic collection of music that ranged from Irish bands to modern electronica, and was an avid movie-goer. When he and his brother were younger, going to movies with Dad was a frequent occurrence.

He was a devoted son and brother, and loyal friend to many who always made sure everyone was taken care of.

He is survived by his loving parents, Alan Moch and Sandra Moch, of Bismarck, ND; sister, Lori Moch, of Hazelton ND; brother, Nathan Moch, of Minneapolis MN; and special niece, Isadora.
