Karen Mae Kautzman, mother and grandmother went to heaven on August 1, 2020. She passed peacefully at her residence in Bismarck, North Dakota after a long battle with kidney disease. She is survived by her children Douglas Kautzman, and Scott (Joell) Kautzman, both of Bismarck; her three grandchildren, Nakeesha, Sophia, and Zachary. Karen is also survived by her loving family and friends.
Karen was born in Bismarck on May 24, 1953. Early in her career she worked for ND Workforce Safety and retired with the North Dakota National Guard several years ago. Although Karen enjoyed working, she looked forward to retirement where she was able to spend time with loved ones as well as her crafts, hobbies, and quilt making extravaganzas.
Karen had many wishes for loved ones, so in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the National Kidney Foundation or your favorite charity.
Services will be held at 1:30 pm on Friday, August 7, 2020 at Eastgate Funeral Service, 2302 East Divide Avenue, Bismarck. Burial will be held at the Hazelton Cemetery, Hazelton, ND.
Please dress casually as Karen requested jeans and her favorite shirt.
Friends and family are invited to congregate following the service and burial at Scott and Joell’s house located at 3206 Vantassel Drive, Bismarck.
