Karen Kramer, 64, of Bismarck, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones on October 17, 2018, at Sanford Hospital. Karen was born August 5, 1954 in Bismarck, ND, the daughter of Robert and Marty (Martin) Mooney. Over the years as a young adult she worked many jobs, finally landing a job with the phone company (Northwestern Bell/AT&T). She worked at the office here in Bismarck until it closed in 1988. She and her daughter Kari then moved to Duluth, MN where she continued to work for the AT&T office there until it closed in 1996. They then moved back to Bismarck to be closer to family. Once back in Bismarck she began working for Aetna US Healthcare until 2008. She enjoyed spending as much time as she could with her family. Whether it was sharing a meal, shopping, or playing some cards. Her family was a very important part of her life. She also enjoyed her crafts. At times it seemed there was a new one every week, but her favorites were crocheting and painting. She was always perfecting her brush strokes. Over the years she crocheted many projects. Multiple afghans, scarves and so much more. She is survived by her children Jason (Heather) Kramer, Kari (Rob) Ramsdell, her brother Bob Mooney, three grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and many more loving relatives and friends. Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Marty Mooney; as well as lifelong friends, Nancy Tallman, and Pauline Dowhaniuk.
