On January 11, 2019, we lost our special angel on this earth, Kathleen C. Gawryluk, (Gma), to all those who loved her. Services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, January 19, at Church of St. Mary, 806 E. Broadway Ave., Bismarck, with Rev. Jared Johnson officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Friday, January 18, at Eastgate Funeral Service, 2302 E. Divide Ave., Bismarck, where a rosary/vigil service will begin at 7:00 pm. Burial will be at Fingal Cemetery in the Spring. Gma was born Kathleen C. Behm, the third of four children, born to Herman and Shirley Behm. She was raised and educated a farm near Fingal, ND. In March of 1970 she married Emil Gawryluk and together they raised three children on a farm south of South Heart, ND. During the 1980s they started their own trucking company, E & K Trucking. As Emil would work for Koch Oil, Gma would haul fresh water to the rigs, take care of the kids, keep the farm going and still do gardening, canning, making crafts, and making clothes for her children. She later moved to Bismarck with her kids. Gma worked at Montgomery Wards until the store closed. She worked very hard serving other and her Lord. She worked at Pride Inc. until she retired. Gma loved going fishing and camping, playing bingo, cooking, and watching the Food Network. Most importantly she loved her grandbabies and they idolized her. You could always find Gma in her big oversized chair with a grandbaby snuggled up with her. When they were bigger, it didn’t matter, they would sit on the arm of her chair, and still find a way to snuggle. Gma was a peacemaker and was always ready and willing to help. Her calling and biggest joy was loving and living for her grandbabies and family and her faith and love of the Lord Jesus. She was such an amazing woman and we will miss her forever and always. Gma is survived by her three daughters, Stacy (Clay) Banyai, Brenda Gawryluk, and Wanda Gawryluk; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and two siblings. She was preceded in death by her brother, Roger (Jan) Behm; her parents, Herman and Shirley Behm.
