Kathy A. Rodgers

Kathy Rodgers, 64, went to heaven after a courageous battle with cancer on Monday, October 14, 2019 at St. Alexius Hospital in Bismarck. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 19, 3:00 PM, at Parkway Funeral Service 2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 18, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, at Parkway Funeral Service 2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck.
She was born on October 23, 1954 to Gudmann and Helga Sjue in Estevan, Canada near Crosby, ND. Kathy was raised in WF and graduated from WFHS in 1972. In 1971, she started working at Channel 4 in Fargo as an Accountant. She also worked at KVRR Fox for many years.
On September 22, 1979 Kathy married Jerome Rodgers. Together they had two children, Michael and Jacey.
Kathy enjoyed golfing and fishing. In 2016, she moved to Bismarck to be closer to her family and her daughter’s flower shop.
She is survived by her son Michael, daughter Jacey (Cody) Nesland, all of Bismarck, stepson Jeremy (Heidi) Rodgers, West Fargo; two grandchildren Zach and Leah Rodgers; brothers Garth (Verlette) Sjue and family, Mike (Jeannie) Gwilliam and family; and sister-in-law Shirley and her son Garett. Kathy is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and cousins, including a very special cousin, Karen; as well as many other brothers and sisters-in-law.
Kathy is preceded in death by her parents; brother Erik Sjue, and special aunt Arlette.
