Kenneth Dwelle, 81, Bismarck, died September 25, 2018. Private graveside services will be held at a later date. Kenneth was born on April 23, 1937, in Jamestown, ND, the son of Ralph and Eva (Flanders) Dwelle. He grew up and attended schools in Jamestown and Riverdale, graduating from Riverdale High School. In 1955, he entered the US Navy and in April of 1960 he married Sharon Jackman in Bismarck. During the Vietnam War, he served as a member of flight crew 8 with the top-secret VO-67 “The Ghost Squadron.” Forty years after the completion of their missions, his unit would receive a Presidential Unit Citation for their heroism. Following his retirement from the Navy in 1978, he and Sharon would make their home in Bismarck, where Kenneth worked for several companies including Cross Country Courier before his retirement. Kenneth enjoyed bowling, fishing, camping, and traveling, and was a lifetime member of the VFW. He is survived by his wife, Sharon, Bismarck; two children, Brenda (Eric) Neutman, Mandan, and Mark (Rena), Bismarck; six grandchildren, Stephanie Willits (Ryan Small), Kayla (Danny) Porter, Summer Neutman, Bryce Auch, Blayn Auch, and Max Georgeson; his sisters, Jean Carroll, CA, Elnora Riedy, MO, and Sharon (Dale) Kastner, SD; special friend, Sam Schmidt; and his beloved dog, Pebbles. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Marvin, Norman, Dale, and Raymond; and two sisters, Cleaice Sease and Lovera Kunz.
