Kenneth “Ken” Lloyd Bonogofsky, 65, Mandan, died December 4, 2018, at Sanford Health, Bismarck.
Family will greet visitors from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm Sunday, December 9, at Eastgate Funeral Service, 2302 E. Divide Ave., Bismarck. Cremation has taken place.
Burial will be at 3:00 pm Monday, December 10, at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.
Ken was born September 28, 1953, in Mandan, ND, to Clothilda Bonogofsky. He was raised in Mandan where he attended Mandan High School. He joined the US Army in April 1972, where he serviced proudly for five-plus years, while being stationed in Germany. Following his honorable discharge from the military, he held various jobs before he became a caregiver. Ken loved camping, fishing, music and guitars, with his favorite artist being Johnny Cash. He even attempted singing on several occasions. Ken had a great sense of humor and was always happy and joking. Sometimes he was even funny.
Ken is survived by his son, Shawn Bonogofsky and his mother, Susan, ND; his sister, Delilah (Jim) Salmon, AR; his grandchildren, Jesse, Mercedes, and Sydney Jimenez, ND; one great-grandson, Greyson, ND; step-daughter, Terri Kiefer and family; aunt, Alvina Glass, ND; uncle and aunt, Victor and Mary Bonogofsky, WY; nephew, Derek Heck and famiy, ND; and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his guardian grandparents, Casper and Rose Bonogofsky; his mother, Clothilda; and his daughter, Krista.
