Kenneth Thompson

Kenneth Thompson, 84, Bismarck, passed away August 21, 2017, at Sanford Health Care Center-Sunset Drive Community, Mandan. Services will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, August 26, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, with Rev. Marv Mutzenberger officiating. Burial will be at the Deapolis Cemetery, rural Stanton. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Parkway Funeral Service, Bismarck. Kenneth Robert Thompson was born June 14, 1933, the son of Robert C. and Anna (Johnson) Thompson. He was raised on a farm near Fort Clark. Kenneth served in the U.S. military from 1955 – 1957. He married Gwen Applegate in November 1957. Kenneth enjoyed farming and ranching his entire life and in his spare time, hunting. Kenneth is survived by his wife, Gwen, Bismarck; three sons, Richard, Donald, and Steven; six grandsons; and six great-grandchildren; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Delores Berger, Leone Hagen (John), and Roberta Schmidt.
