Kenneth “Big Dog” J. Vetter, 59, Bismarck, passed away in his sleep on Oct. 6, 2020 and now is in heaven. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 23, at Church of St. Anne, 1321 Braman Ave, Bismarck.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck. A rosary/vigil will begin at 7 p.m.
Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bismarck.
He was born on November 12, 1960 to Johnnie and Helen Vetter in Bismarck. Kenneth graduated from Bismarck High School in 1979.
Kenneth met the love of his life, Coleen, and the two married on August 3, 1984. He had three children, Michelle, Mike and John.
He started working with service master in 1979 until 1994. In 1994, he started Spotless Janitorial with his brother, DuWayne, and best friend, Tim Haar. He was a loyal member of the Moose Lodge 302 and served many years on the board. He loved playing with his grandchildren and playing cards and darts. He played softball for many years and his team, Vetter & Son’s, won the state championship in 1984. He liked his sports and cheered on the Packers, Mets and Celtics.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Coleen; daughter, Michelle (Ramon), and their children, Zachary (Olympia), Anthony and Emanual; son, Mike (Candy), and their children, Alexa and Makenna; son, John, and his children, Elijah and John Jr.; brothers, Jerry (Joletta) and DuWayne (Barb); and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
