Kevin Bender

Our Friend, Kevin Scott Bender, 63, Bismarck, passed away unexpectedly at his home on April 1, 2023.

A time of remembrance will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, April 22, at The Pier Bar and Grill, 1120 Riverwood Dr., Bismarck.

Kevin Scott Bender was born on November 23^rd, 1959 and was instantly Robert and Marlene's #1 son. As a child Kevin enjoyed many sports, including playing hockey on the outdoor skating rink at the VFW, as well as playing basketball and baseball. He enjoyed baseball so much, he even became a coach later in life for a bit. Not only did he enjoy playing sports, but he loved watching the Dallas Cowboys and any and all racing he could. His father, Robert was very into racing as well so Kevin grew up around it and fell in love with the same thing his father had.

Kevin also loved the outdoors. He would go check the weather and keep all of us updated on all the seasons outside. If the weather was nice enough you could always find him on his tailgate in his garage with a beverage in hand and a smile on his face as he’d wave to his friends that passed by. He loved classic rock music and went to a fair share of concerts during his life. He’d always request the music be turned up if it was an especially good jam.

Kevin’s smile and dry sense of humor will never be forgotten. You could always count on him to lighten your day with a joke or a story. He was also a good listener and a good friend to those he cared for.

He will be missed by many but will always be apart of our memories.
