Kevin Pfannsmith

On the morning of January 5, 2023. Kevin J. Pfannsmith passed away at the age of 56.

A memorial service in his honor will be held at 1:00 P.M, Tuesday, Jan. 10, with visitations starting one hour prior to the service at the Bismarck Baptist Church, 2211 LaForest Ave, Bismarck. The service will be livestreamed. A live link can be found on the Bismarck Baptist Facebook page or YouTube channel.

The family invites you to join them for light refreshments and fellowship following the service at the church. Inurnment will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the North Dakota Veteran's Cemetery, Mandan N.D.

Kevin was born September 30, 1966, to Wendell and Janice (Johnson) Pfannsmith.  Kevin was raised and lived in Fordville, ND where he graduated from Fordville Highschool. He attended college at NDSCS, Wahpeton ND and graduated in 1989. Kevin joined the National Guard in 1985 and served for 11 years, one of those years being spent in Desert Storm. In 2008, Kevin married Lisa Balzer and together they have four wonderful children. He worked for the state of ND for 36 years where he made many friends. Kevin enjoyed spending time with his family camping and fishing and working on computers.

He is survived by his wife Lisa; son Ryan; son Derek; daughter Megan; son Brandon, all of Bismarck, ND; sister, Wendy (Randy) Blasky of Fordville, ND; brother Larry Pfannsmith of West Fargo, ND; father-in-law Richard Balzer of Mandan ND; brother-in-law Rob (Jill) Balzer, sister-in-law Tammy (Scott) Hutchinson, sister-in-law Traci (Chris) Balzer and several nieces and nephews.
