Larry Axtman

Larry Axtman, 76, passed away at CHI St. Alexius Medical Center on September 9, 2019.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 17, 2019, at Church of St. Anne, 1321 Braman Ave, Bismarck.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, September 16, 2019, at Eastgate Funeral Service, 2302 E Divide Ave, Bismarck, where a Rosary/Vigil Service will begin at 7:00 PM.  Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at the North Dakota Veteran’s Cemetery, Mandan.

Larry was born on January 9, 1943, in Rugby, ND. Larry is the son of Rudy and Elizabeth (Wangler) Axtman. He graduated from Rugby High School in 1960. After high school, Larry attended NDSU for one year. Larry served in the US Army in 1961 until 1963.

Larry was self-employed in sales of electronics, cookware, body toning equipment, oil and gas leases, awnings, and specialty items.

He is survived by the love of his life, Pat Becker; her daughters, Roxi (Tomas) Reis, Missy (Marty Presler) Becker, and Jen (Shawn) Spencer; his siblings, Bernie (Al) Haman, Laverne (Roger) Duchscher, Wayne (Elaine Cofell), Vern (Susan Bednarz), Karen (Mark) Hagel, Denise (Richard) Iliff, Curt (Cheryl) and Keith (Pam), brother-in-law Gerry Nohr and Pat’s siblings, Martha Weigel, Jim (Jan) Feist, Tom Feist, Rita (Dwight) Dirk, Steve (Diane) Feist, Bernie (Ron) Swanson, Gary Feist; and many nieces and nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Janice Nohr, and brothers, Darold and Jerry, and Pat’s parents and brother-in-law Frank Weigel.
