Larry Buechler

Larry Buechler, 77, Bismarck, ND, died October 22, 2018 at Sanford Health, Bismarck. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 27, at Cornerstone Community Church, 111 E Wachter Ave, Bismarck, ND, with Pastor Keith Ritchie officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 pm on Friday, October 26, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Bismarck. Larry Buechler was born November 3, 1940 in Zap, ND to Herbert and Martha (Boeckel) Buechler. He was raised and educated in Zap, ND. Larry joined the Navy in July of 1958 and was honorably discharged in 1964. He served on the USS Collett. On November 29, 1963 Larry married Charleen Unruh in Hazen, ND. After Larry’s time in the Navy, the family moved to Bismarck where he worked for Massey Feguson as a mechanic then later as a sales man. Larry transferred to sales at Ditch Witch until his retirement. He enjoyed outdoors, camping, fishing, and hunting with his family. Larry is survived by his wife, Charleen, Bismarck; his son, Weylin, Bismarck; grandchildren, Dillon John Brown, Tacoma, WA, Kasey Jo Brown, Bismarck, Chance Maxon, Bismarck, Amber Cummings, Mandan, and Jason Bayer, Bismarck, ND; great-grandchildren, Cassie, Kali, Dacotah, Cayden, Mikynna, and Beckett; sister, Virginia (Lester) Schramm, Bismarck; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ervin (Mildred) Unruh; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his father and mother-in-law, John (Christine) Unruh; his daughter, Jody Kay Brown; daughter-in-law, Nancy Buechler; and his brother, Calvin Buechler.
