Larry Leonard Quale, 68, Driscoll, passed away on Nov. 14, 2020 at CHI St. Alexius due to doing the activities he loved in his garage resulting in a fall. A public visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21 at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck.
Graveside service and lunch will be held Spring/Summer 2021 because of concerns for safe travels for family and friends due to COVID.
Larry was born to Russell (Leona Berreth) Quale in Bismarck on Nov. 27, 1951. He graduated the eighth grade through Driscoll Public School and began working on the family farm in Driscoll.
Larry worked his entire working career as a heavy equipment operator for Northern Improvement as a local 49er union member. He enjoyed riding his Harley, meeting the guys for coffee, giving little gifts he found to his friends and family. He also enjoyed spending time with his late dog, Badger, and current dog, Rex. He enjoyed making his family and friends Lefsa or Krub to share and spending quality time with family and friends. He enjoyed using his knowledge to fix or build anything he could get his hands on. His tractors were also his joy.
Larry is survived by his daughter, Candace Swenning (partner, Brenton Hartleib); granddaughters, Briar and Amerah, Lincoln; and Jennifer Simpson Harter, Driscoll, who held a special place in his heart; two Sisters, June (Vern) Berger Tappen, and LeAnn (Dale) Sabinash, Bismarck; one brother, Dean (Brenda) Quale, Platteville, Wisc.; his fur buddy, Rex; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is also survived by an abundance of friends.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Russell (Leona Berreth) Quale; paternal grandparents; maternal grandparents; and fur buddy, Badger.
A special thank you to the many years of service of caring for Larry and friendship to Dr. Ryan Clausen.
