Leo Gefroh Jr.

Leo Gefroh Jr., 66, passed away on February 22, 2025.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck. Family will greet guests 30 minutes prior to service.

Leo Jr. was born in Portland, OR on January 30, 1959, to Leo Sr. and Barbara. 

He graduated from Bismarck High School in 1977, where he was involved in many activities - from student council, to playing drums in the high school band, to being a member of the BHS tennis team. He attended Minnesota State University Moorhead before starting his long and rewarding career in banking and finance. He took great pride in serving the needs of his customers in the Fargo and Bismarck-Mandan areas for 38 years.

Leo enjoyed raising his kids with an appreciation of the outdoors, camping and fishing many weekends of the summer months; often inviting family and friends to join. The winter months brought numerous memorable trips across the state for both his kids’ hockey games and tournaments. He played men’s softball and church league basketball with his brothers, Scott and Tim; and was a huge Detroit sports fan - even planning a few special family trips to Detroit around the Thanksgiving games. He served on local non-profit boards, supporting services for those in the community who needed it. Leo was a traveler and avid music fan, taking in many live shows and concerts into his retirement.

Leo is survived by his children, Mandy (Dave), and Tyler; former spouse, Tracie; father, Leo Sr.; brothers, Ken (Jan), David (Jana), Scott (Jean), and Tim (Judy); and grandchild, Cameron; and significant other, Linda; along with many other beloved family and friends who loved and cared for Leo throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara; grandparents, Barbara and Bernard; grandmother, Josephine; along with cherished aunts, uncles, and cousins.
