Leo Rudnick, 92, Bismarck, passed away on August 5, 2024.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, Aug. 9, at Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, 520 Raymond St, Bismarck.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM, with a rosary vigil starting at 7:00 PM, Thursday, Aug. 8 at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck.
Interment will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, Aug. 9, at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.
Leo M. Rudnick was born on May 17, 1932 to Paul and Hattie (Schuelke) Rudnick on the family farm east of Anamoose ND.
He attended grade school at the white township school, attended the Anamoose High School and graduated in 1950. After high school he worked for the Martin Huflon Implement Company until he was drafted into the army in June 1952. He served in France during the Korean war and was discharged in May of 1954. After his discharge from the Army, he worked at the Eichhorn Implement Company in Drake, and various business in Harvey: The Genuine Parts Company, Keller Implement Company, A&M Service, the City of Harvey Park Board and Ripplinger Motor.
Leo married Angeline Pfeifer on October 29, 1956 at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church in Drake, they raised six children. He was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters, member of the Eagles, VFW of Harvey and right to life. Leo retired in 1997, during his retirement he liked to recondition bikes and gave to those in need.
He was preceded in death by his four brothers, Gilbert, Wendelen, Matt, Lawrence; two sisters, Delores, Cecilia and one son-in-law, Scott.
Leo leaves behind his wife of 67 years, Angeline, his six children: Tony Rudnick, Duane (Mary Kay) Rudnick, Bernie (Jim) Foley, Jim (Dana) Rudnick, Heidi Muscha, Leon (Yvette) Rudnick, 11 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, sister, Angeline Rudnick of Anamoose and numerous nieces and nephews.
