It is with great sadness and joy to announce our dear mother, Leona Tetzloff, was called to be with the Lord on July 9, 2018, at 2:49 a.m. at Elm Crest Manor, New Salem, ND.A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, July 13, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, with Pastor Ron Enget officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm Thursday, July 12, at Parkway Funeral Service, with a time of sharing from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Leona was born June 30, 1923, in ND. She married Arthur “Art” Tetzloff in 1946 in Carson, ND, and together they raised five children until Art’s untimely death in 1968. Leona worked as a dietician at the Bismarck Hospital, now Sanford, until retiring. Leona was a faithful servant to our Lord God, an amazing mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mom loved her family, bowling, horseshoes, fishing, dancing, playing cards and board games. She is survived by her daughters, Dorthy (Andy) Hanson, Athens, TN, Darlene (Jeff) Foster, Beulah, ND, Brenda Tetzloff, Driscoll, ND, Anita Welsh, Sandy UT; her son, Daryl (fiancé, Kathy), Coleharbor, ND; godson, Johnny Horner; grandchildren, Jeff and Jennifer Hanson, FL, Mandi and Bill Handi, Athens, TN, Leilani and Joey Shelton, Athens, TN, Crystal and Scott Hendricks, O'Fallon, IL, Tina Tetzloff, Belleville, MO, Nikki and Kris Martens, Beulah, ND, Stacey and Craig Salhus, Underwood, ND, Tracey and Blane Harter, Driscoll, ND, Darren and Rachel Tetzloff, Bismarck, Dylan Tetzloff and fiancé, Miranda Pochant, Coleharbor, ND, Dallas Tetzloff, Fargo, and Jillian Haskens, Albany, NY; 21 great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren. Our family would also like to thank her longtime caregiver and friend, Lorraine Hoffman, and her special friends, Ester Perry, Joann Schrenk, and Janet Eisenbeis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Art; her sons, Duane and Dennis; great-grandson, Alex Belcher; and her brother, Ed Klinner. For all those who are serving the Lord, it’s never “goodbye,” it’s always “see you later.”
