Leonard J. Mullner, 77, Bismarck, passed away on August 4, 2018, at Sanford Health, Bismarck. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday, August 8, at Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, 519 Raymond St., Bismarck. Burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Tuesday, August 7, at Eastgate Funeral Service, 2302 E. Divide Ave., Bismarck, where a rosary/vigil service will begin at 7:00 pm. Leonard was born March 8, 1941, to Thressa Brigl at Huff, ND. He graduated from Mandan High School in 1960. Leonard married Dorothy Volk on May 18, 1963. Leonard worked at the State Highway Department from 1961 to 1965. He then worked at the Bureau of Reclamation from December 1965 to December 1989. From there he went to work for the Garrison Conservancy District and retired on March 1, 2004. His greatest joy was seeing Richard and Candace graduating from college and spending time in his RV with his two grandchildren, Paul and Kayla. Leonard will be deeply missed by his wife of 55 years, Dorothy; his son, Richard (Rosemary) Mullner, Shelby Township, MI; his daughter, Candace (Paul Jr.) Bourgeau, South Lyon, MI; his two grandchildren, Paul III and Kayla; his sister, Delores Goetz; sister-in-law, Marie; his brother-in-law, Ex; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother; stepfather; sister; father-in-law and mother-in-law; sister-in-law, Helen; and brother-in-law, Frank. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
