Lillian Martha Annell Stair-Mohler left her earthly body for her heavenly home on June 29, 2019.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, July 6, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck. Family will greet visitors one hour prior to the service. Cremation has taken place.
Burial will be at the Newburg Cemetery on Sunday, July 7, at 2:00 pm.
Lillian “Lil” was born in Palermo, ND, on April 21, 1933, the sixth child of eleven children to Conrad and Ida Annell. Lil had an eighth-grade education at Buffalo Lake School, Manitoba. In 1951, she moved back to North Dakota and attended business college in Minot for one year. She worked for three years for Westland Oil Co., of Minot. In 1956, she worked as a secretary for an attorney in Bottineau. Lil married Gerald “Jerry” Stair on December 1, 1956, and they had four daughters, Holly, Jamie, Connie, and Kristi. They lived on the family farm in Newburg until Jerry’s passing in 1991. Lil moved into Newburg in 1996 then to Bismarck in 2000. Lil met and married Buddy Mohler on June 10, 2000. The couple spent winters in Sun City Center, FL, from 2005 and moved back to Bismarck in 2013.
Lil loved music, singing, playing guitar, accordion and the organ. She enjoyed bowling, crocheting, reading, and traveling. She was clerk/treasurer for Kane Twsp as well as Dovre Lutheran Church and gaming manager in Newburg.
She is survived by her husband, Buddy; daughters, Holly (Bob) Wheeler, Jamie Stair, Connie (Jim) Hval, and Kristi Stair; stepchildren, Kathie (Dwayne) Schmidt and Rick (Pam) Mohler; grandchildren, Heather (Chad) Feiring, Jody (Brent) Vogel, Ryan (Jenice) Davidson, Zachary, Riley and Makena Stair, Derrick (Alison) Schmidt, Kristin (Chris) Wetsch, and Brandon (Qian) Mohler; great-grandchildren, Gavin and Gracelyn Davidson, Makenzie and Kallie Vogel, Marshall and Charlie Feiring, and Paxton and Easton Wetsch.
Lil was preceded in death by both her parents; three brothers; three sisters; her first husband; and her son-in-law, Mike Davidson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Newburg Cemetery (Dovre Lutheran Church), or the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.
