Linda Baker, 70, was welcomed into her heavenly home by our Savior and reunited with her parents on January 13, 2021, as she accepted the Lord Jesus Christ in 1984. Linda was born at St. Alexius Hospital April 24, 1950, Bismarck, ND, the second child of Jacob & Eleanor Freidt. She spent most of her youth in North Dakota, helping care for her younger siblings.
After graduating from Mandan High School in May, she started her life’s journey with Maynard Baker on August 17, 1968. They spent the first part of their married life traveling in the northwest, finally building a home and raising their five children in rural Center.
Linda worked numerous jobs throughout her life, although none came close to running the chuckwagon with her parents. After retiring from Sam’s Club, she enjoyed spending time with her grandkids. She was always up for a good road trip as she loved to travel. She was everyone’s go-to and always made sure everybody was included. She was selfless, compassionate, dependable, and a peacekeeper. Linda was an amazing woman who loved the Lord and impacted so many people’s lives.
She will be greatly missed by her husband and caregiver Maynard; her children and grandchildren Don & Michelle Baker (Evan, Brooklyn), Leandro and Amber Araujo (Christa, LJ, Julia, Arthur), Nicole and Mario Silva (Mario Jr, Megan, Hannah, Gabriel), William and Ashley Baker (Brandon, Ethan, Jennifer, Emma), Sebastion & Alexandra Baker (Tucker, Christion), as well as five sisters, five brothers, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Per her request, there will be no viewing. To honor her, memories will be shared at 11:00 a.m. January 16, 2021 at Century Baptist Church, 205 Colt Ave, Bismarck. Service begins at 1:00 P.M.
