Linda (Lippert) Benz passed away on December 2, 2023 at Sanford Health, Bismarck. Her family would like to thank the nurses and staff at the ICU Unit for taking such good care of her.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, December 8 at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck. Visitation will begin one hour prior.
Burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck.
Linda was born on March 16, 1944, the daughter of John and Hilda Lippert in Beulah. She was raised and educated in Beulah, graduating from Beulah High School. She married Virgil Benz and they lived in the eastern states during his military service. They later lived in Harden, MT, Spearfish, SD, and then settled in Gillette, WY. Linda worked in a nursing home and worked as a custodian for the Gillette School District. She lived in Denver, CO for a short time and then moved to Bismarck where she worked for Kohl’s Department Store in the jewelry department.
Linda loved to dance and was a regular at the Saturday night dances at the Mandan Eagles, joining her many friends for such good times. She and Les attended many polka dances throughout the years traveling to Las Vegas, NV, Mesa, AZ, Rochester, MN, and many more enjoying the polka and waltz music.
She is survived by her son, Bradley Benz; her loving fiancé, Les Larsen; brother, Clarence (Ardith) Lippert; sister, Bernice (Jim) Helm; and many nieces and nephews.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, John and Hilda Lippert; sisters, Esther (Warren) Jenkins, Alice (Elmer) Steege, Agnes (Pete) Ziegler, Gladyce (Arnold) Krein, Helen (Daryl) Zimmerman; and brother, Ted (Ora Lee) Lippert.
